Applications for a Habitat house are available at the Village Thrift Store on River Road. The standard application form is available in both English and Spanish. To qualify for a Habitat home in Wimberley, the candidate(s) must be in need of decent, affordable housing. The 

candidate(s) must have the ability to repay the cost of the no-interest (normally 25-year) mortgage and contribute 300 sweat-equity hours in partnering to build their home. Candidate(s) must live within the 78676 zip code and/or the Wimberley Independent School District presently and for at least six (6) months prior to the time of the application and have a record of stable income or employment. The candidate(s) must be a U.S. citizen or demonstrate permanent 

resident status with a green card. A prequalification questionnaire with income guidelines is available on the website.
